Laura Juliet Kuenssberg (born 8 August 1976) is a British journalist who presents the BBC's Sunday morning politics show. She was succeeded as Political Editor of BBC News by Chris Mason. [1][2] She succeeded Nick Robinson as Political Editor of BBC News in July 2015, and was the first woman to hold the position.

Laura is married to James Kelly, a management consultant, who also studied at Edinburgh. After his degree, he moved to the US to undertake studies at Harvard University. Laura and her husband have no children. The couple lives in East London.
