To make a long story short I downloaded some custom content yesterday and it wasn't until I went into game and allowed custom content that my sims decided it wasn't going to open again. I've been through all the threads, already deleted all my mods, deleted the sims entirely and redownloaded it, repaired it in the EA app, etc, etc, etc.

Hi, i also want to jump to the bandwagon because my sims 4 couldn't launch since it switch to EA app. I hope you could help me foresee the problem here on why it won't launch. I tried to move The Sims 4 folder to the desktop ,turn on the windows defender and fire wall too, reinstall both apps and cleaning the cache and it still say the same.

My affected sims are sims born to Grim with the Grimborn trait. I don't know if it's only sims with that trait or new sims born that are affected. This will be something I'll have to explore more on. I saved the two kids when they were infants and aged them up to see what they looked like. They looked pretty normal.

Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)

Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old; Repair the game; Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry. Start a new save game; Check if you still have the error
