Newton Lake State Fish and Wildlife Area is an Illinois state park on 1,775 acres (718 ha) in Jasper County, Illinois, United States. The park's grasslands are home to the largest of the three remaining greater prairie chicken flocks in Illinois.

About 800 acres of land are managed by IDNR for wildlife and 260 acres in the northeast corner has been dedicated to the preservation of the state-endangered greater prairie-chicken. About 540 acres on the west side of the lake has been developed for public access fishing, picnicking, hiking, equestrian and bike trails.

Twenty-two miles of trail along the picturesque shoreline of the lake were opened in 1980. The trail system begins at the North Access parking lot. The trails are opened to hiking, cross-country skiing and equestrian use.
