The Game Boy, the iconic handheld game console from Nintendo that has sold over 118 million units since its original launch in Japan on April 21, 1989, will be returning this year as part of a new collaboration with the LEGO Group,

While we’re all waiting for official news about the Switch 2, Nintendo has gone ahead and announced a very different kind of console. The company is teasing a collaboration with Lego that will see the original grey brick known as a Game Boy rendered in Lego blocks.

There have been plenty of Lego Nintendo kits already on the market, from interactive Mario sets to that fantastic NES recreation. This Game Boy idea is my favorite of all, though. Maybe it's because I still have so many memories of mine. October is a while away, but if you want to make one in the meantime, here's a model you could try.
