Lynchburg City Council voted 6-1 to extend the youth curfew by another year. During their Tuesday night council meeting, city leaders discussed restoring the curfew to help address crime and to keep kids safe.

The primary reason behind it was to protect the general public by reducing the number of crimes committed by kids under the age of 18.
