A Grand Rapids woman who police say was beaten to death by a man she had dated predicted last summer that he would kill her, sources said.

Grand Rapids police are investigating a death in the 3400 block of Haleh Circle SE. Officers responded about 1:25 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12 to the location. The area is off East Beltline Avenue, south of Burton Street.

A 61-year-old woman's death in her apartment is considered a homicide, with her boyfriend arrested more than a thousand miles away in New Mexico.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A man is in custody in connection to a homicide in Grand Rapids on Wednesday after fleeing to New Mexico. At around 1:30 p.m., officers responded to Haleh Circle Southeast, where they located a 61-year-old woman, Aleta Lung, deceased inside a residence.

Grand Rapids police said Aleta Lung, 61, was found dead Wednesday, Feb. 12 n a residence in the 3400 block of Haleh Circle SE.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — First responders took a woman to the hospital Monday night after police said a suspect stabbed her. The Grand Rapids Police Department said officers were called to the area of Madison Avenue SE and Cherry Street around 10:20 p.m. Monday to a report of a stabbing.
