Attorney General Pam Bondi, in some of her first moves on the job, is shifting the Justice Department’s national security priorities away from initiatives that have been a source of irritation for President Donald Trump and his allies.

Hours after being sworn in, Bondi called for the formation of a "weaponization working group" to review the work of Jack Smith.

The Senate has confirmed Pam Bondi as U.S. attorney general. Her confirmation puts a longtime ally of Donald Trump at the helm of a Justice Department that has already been rattled by the firings of career employees seen as disloyal to the Republican president.
