Officials in several Russian regions, some hundreds of kilometres from the border, reported strikes overnight.

Russian forces shot down six US-made ATACMS missiles fired by Ukraine over the Bryansk region and eight British Storm Shadow missiles, including two over the Black Sea, over the last 24 hours, Russian state news agencies said, citing the defence ministry.

Ukraine used six British Storm Shadow missiles and US-made Atacms tactical ballistic missiles in what Kyiv described as its “largest attack” on Russian military facilities.

Ukrainian special forces have captured two North Korean troops, Volodymyr Zelensky said on Saturday. The wounded soldiers have been transported to Kyiv for questioning by intelligence services, the Ukraine president said, in what is believed to be a first since North Korean troops entered the war on the side of Russia.
