The Chicago Bears intend to interview Notre Dame's Marcus Freeman for their head coaching vacancy, NFL Network reported Sunday. Freeman, of course, has more pressing matters at the moment. The head coach is guiding the seventh-seeded Fighting Irish into a clash against eighth-seeded Ohio State in the College Football Playoff national championship game on Jan.

Freeman, 39, would fit the Bears’ need for a culture-changer. He has at least a cursory knowledge of the franchise, too. After playing linebacker at Ohio State, he was picked by the Bears in the fifth round of the 2009 draft but was cut before the start of the regular season.

The Chicago Bears may look toward the college game for their next head coach. NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported Sunday that Chicago "wants to
