King Charles and Prince William are leading the royal family’s commemorations of the victims of the Holocaust on Holocaust Memorial Day.

King Charles will become the first British head of state to visit Auschwitz when he tours the former Nazi concentration camp to mark the 80th anniversary of its liberation. The King will travel to Poland to join survivors and other dignitaries for a special service,

The portrait was released to mark Scotland’s Burns Night, which celebrates the life and career of the iconic national poet Robert Burns. For the occasion, Charles posed in his kilt for royal photographer Millie Pilkington while standing in the library of Balmoral castle in Scotland.

King Charles can be seen sporting a kilt in a new photo released by Buckingham Palace on Saturday, Jan. 25, to mark Burns Night, the annual Scottish celebration that honors the birthday and life of Scottish poet Robert Burns.
