LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. (WFFT) — One man has been arrested for his alleged connection to a nearly 40-year-old rape cold case.

He was taken to the hospital to be treated. State police have taken over the investigation. Charges are pending in both Michigan and Indiana, according to the Branch County Sheriff’s Office.

Persistence has apparently paid off for the Indiana State Police, who began investigating a LaGrange County sexual assault in 1986.
