Israel must meet international obligations regarding the provision of humanitarian aid for the people of Gaza, the foreign ministers of Britain, France and Germany said in a joint statement on Wednesday.

Israel's Energy Minister Eli Cohen said on Sunday he had given instructions to stop supplying electricity to Gaza, a week after Israel blocked all aid into the war-ravaged Palestinian territory.

Britain, France, and Germany have stated that Israel must fulfil its international obligations regarding the provision of humanitarian aid for the people of Gaza. The foreign ministers of the three countries made this statement in a joint declaration on Wednesday.
