Rhode Island State Police said they have terminated two troopers for violating rules, regulation and policies after they shared a video of a death on Snapchat.

Two Rhode Island State Police troopers who displayed poor judgment and a "lack of empathy" for the family of a man who was struck and killed on Interstate 95 last year have been fired, Colonel Darnell S. Weaver said Thursday morning.

The Troopers were fired following a months-long investigation into the release of a video of a highway pedestrian fatality that was subsequently shared on social media. RISP refused to identify the Troopers.
