For the second straight week demonstrators gathered in downtown Los Angeles police to protest the immigration policies recently instated by President Donald Trump. The Los Angeles Police Department said protesters had entered La Plaza en El Pueblo and urged other members of the public to use caution in the area as the "non-permitted" demonstration continued.

The Los Angeles Convention Center will become the center of the art world when more than 90 galleries come together for the LA Art Show this month. “We have something for everybody from all around the world at the show,” said Kassandra Voyagis, director and producer of the LA Art Show, which returns to the downtown Los Angeles venue Feb. 19-23.

Draped in Mexican and Salvadoran flags, roughly 1,000 demonstrators gathered near City Hall shortly before noon, blocking traffic at Spring and Temple streets.

The large group, calling for a National Day of Action, could be seen through aerial footage walking in the middle of Spring Street, moving along to block an intersection at Chick Hearn Court and 11th Street all the while waving Mexico flags and carrying protest signs.

Protesters ignored the Los Angeles Police Department’s order to disperse on Monday as they continued to rally against the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown for a second day.

Another protest against President Trump's crackdown on illegal immigration took place in downtown Los Angeles Saturday, with marchers moving from Mariachi Plaza in Boyle Heights.
