A measles outbreak continues in Texas, with 58 cases now reported. Most of the cases are in children and people who are not vaccinated.

The measles outbreak in the South Plains region, in West Texas, has expanded to at least 48 people, most of them children.

At least 58 cases have been confirmed. Health officials — who are scrambling to get a handle on the vaccine-preventable outbreak — suspect 200 to 300 people may be infected.
