massive shelf ice is luring people to the edge of Lake Michigan. It’s an eerie, bizarre transformation for shoreline waters that, just four months ago, saw adolescent toes and sandcastles.

The waters of Lake ... Michigan shoreline earlier this week with their latest effort to dislodge the boat. According to a member of his crew, the propeller is buried 2- to 3-feet in the sand.

The water temperature was just under 40 degrees along the Lake Michigan shoreline in Waukegan ... it's a little cold," one man said. "My toes are the only thing that are cold," a woman added.
