First discovered: 11:36 a.m. Feb. 3 A new wildfire was reported today at 11:36 a.m. in Los Angeles County. The wildfire has been burning on private land. At this time, the containment status is unknown and the cause of the fire remains undetermined.

The Palisades and Eaton fires, two of the deadliest and most destructive wildfires in California history, reached 100 percent containment more than three weeks after they began.

Containment measures the percentage of a fire's perimeter that firefighters have under control. Parts of the fire's interior may still be burning.

In the wake of the Los Angeles wildfires, which have killed at least 29 people and burned down thousands of homes, the L.A. awards ceremony has pivoted to focus on raising funds for wildfire relief.
