Serbian Hamad Medjedovic had little trouble handling No. 1-seed Daniil Medvedev of Russia, capturing a 6-3, 6-2 upset on Saturday in the semifinals of the Open 13 Provence in Marseille, France.

Hamad Medjedovic claimed his career-best victory in the Marseille semi-final. The 21-year-old Serb will seek his first ATP title folloiwng a rock-solid 6-3, 6-2 victory over the former champion Daniil Medvedev.

The young Serb Hamad Medjedovic reached the quarter-final at the ATP 250 event in Marseille. Hamad faced the 2018 champion Karen Khachanov in the second round and produced a commanding 6-2, 6-3 victory in an hour and 12 minutes.
