Slow and steady wins the race! We are tickled to introduce our second cottage “The Turtle” here at Stonehaven Cottages! This cozy little one level cottage was moved here from Turtle Lake, WI and has received a total makeover. We’ve sprinkled in a few antiques, along with some adorable turtle decor to give this quaint lakeside cottage a charm all its own! Transforming this little gem was a lot of hard work, but well worth it! The first thing we did was knock out a few walls to create an open concept, which includes a full kitchen, dining area, and a living room with a cozy field stone fireplace. It has one small bedroom with a queen size bed, a queen sofa sleeper in the living room, and a small bathroom with a shower. The focal point of this cottage boasts a large barnwood archway in the vaulted ceiling giving it a look and feel of being inside a turtle shell. We added barnwood and cedar shakes to several walls giving it a warm rustic charm.
