We did not do the Underground Boat ride mostly because I am not a big cave type person. I believe there was a lot of walking and some rigid terrain on it as well. With little, little ones and elderly, I would stick to the cruise. There is seating up top and down low. You can be in the shade or the sun. Since it is on the canal, it is very smooth.
