Q:
Got a bad back, how bumpy is it?
A:
It really isn't terrible. There's only one area that's a bit bumpy. If you ride towards the front of the buggy you should be fine.

Q:

Not really. You have to be able to climb onto a dune buggy. I don't think there is a way a wheelchair bound person could be lifted on. Even someone who walks with difficulty, like with a walker, may not be able to climb up into the vehicle. It's high off the ground since it's designed to go over sand and rough terrain. However, if you call the facility, they may have other vehicles that are more accommodating than the one we took.
